Ziellos

Ziellos, directed by Niklaus Hilber was produced by Hesse Greutert and SRF in 2013. It was shot entirely handheld.

In Ziellos, the main character played by Joel Basman is basically in every frame. We wanted to tell the story of this tortured young man from his perspective. I shot handhled with a zoom, sometimes I changed the focal length during the shots, mostly within a camera movement to keep it discreet, in order to enhance the sense of psychological disorientation the young man goes through.
