MELODIE

MELODIE is a feature documentary directed by Anka Schmid, scheduled for theatrical release in March 2026. My colleague, cinematographer Patrick Lindemaier SCS, captured the choirs and a mountain singer in Switzerland. I filmed in Greece with a mourning singer, in England with Alzheimer’s patients, in Ticino with a young rap artist and with refugees, and the nuns of a convent near Zurich — tracing the voices and faces that form the film’s ensemble of protagonists. For me, filming music is a unique pleasure and a constant challenge — each moment is intimate, unrepeatable, and gone as soon as it happens.
