Neighbours

Neighbours is a feature film directed by Mano Khalil, produced by Frame Film in coproduction with ARTE. The story is set in a Kurdish village on the border between Turkey and Syria in the early 1980s. We discover a young boy’s life in this rapidly changing country divided by an arbitrary border. We shot the movie in Kurdistan (Irak).

Neighbours was selected at Camerimage Directors Debut Competition 2021.

Le Temps  Mano Khalil propose un film beau et terrible à plus-value autobiographique. Ce film visuellement splendide s’attache aux peines et aux joies d’un petit garçon faisant l’apprentissage de la violence et du chagrin.
